Thank you for your great feedback on our first two editions of Investor Insight, we are pleased that you are finding them helpful and informative. Our last seminar featuring outstanding off-plan investment opportunities in Budapest was very well attended with a high percentage of investors opting to purchase in what is proving to be a highly desirable proposition. For more information please click here.
As part of our gearing up for success theme, I am delighted to re-introduce our outstanding investment opportunities on the island of Sal, Cape Verde. The paradise islands of Cape Verde are the nearest tropical islands to the United Kingdom, located 385 miles off the coast of Senegal in the North Atlantic sitting on the same latitude as Jamaica and the Dominican Republic!
Since direct flights were introduced in November 2006, Cape Verde has become the latest must see destination. With a year round temperature of between 24 and 30 degrees, virtually no rain and less than six hours flying hours from the UK, the Cape Verde islands are sure to become a year round favourite destination.
Cape Verde is the overseas property hotspot for 2008 with a justifiably growing reputation for fast-rising tourism; Cape Verde ticks all the boxes for phenomenal property rental and resale potential with Sal being at the forefront of that potential growth! Sal has a well-defined tourism structure based around its beautiful white sandy beaches and boasts a reputation of emerging as a genuine potential rival to the tourist capitals of the Canary Islands with strong investment poured into the islands to achieve this aim.
I am delighted that David Dumble Sales and Marketing Director of the Tortuga Beach Resort and Spa and Dunas Beach Resort is making a brief return visit to Norfolk on Friday 15 and Saturday 16 February, click here to view the invitation, for further information and to reserve your place, please contact Natalie Chambers on 01603 268080.
Don’t just take my word for the potential of Cape Verde, take a look at Mark Hollinger’s honest and insightful look at his recent investment trip to the island and also our website. As promised further helpful advice is featured on raising finances for overseas investments.
Why not escape the cold weather and dark, dreary mornings and experience this paradise for yourself. We are offering free 3-day investment trips to Sal Island, Cape Verde, which includes flights and accommodation.
Regards
Jason Howard

Like many people interested in overseas investment, I have heard a lot about Cape Verde over the past year or two. I was interested, but wasn’t sure exactly where to buy and who to buy through. When Insight became agents for The Resort Group I was interested. I knew that the directors had put their money where their mouth was, as some of them had purchased several apartments between them. Having dealt with Insight for a number of years, I had considerable trust in Insight as a company, which gave me a greater level of confidence in Cape Verde and the proposed development. After further research I put down my deposit for a 2 bedroom apartment in the Tortuga Resort and Spa. I subsequently attended a pre-inspection trip in late August, to see for myself, before I fully committed financially to the investment.
We stayed at the Rui Hotel, which was only about 2.5 miles from our proposed development. The facilities were great and the beach fantastic. Beautiful white sand, with rich blue sea. The Rui hotel is buzzing with tourists and the hotel is fully booked several months in advance.
Just off the equator the Islands of Cape Verde offer a stable hot climate all year round. The temperature when we were there was about 28 / 29 degrees, which I am told is pretty much an average temperature, probably the perfect holiday temperature. Hot without being unbearably hot.
For the 3 days we were there, we were looked after really well and our host John was absolutely fantastic. I felt the balance between business and pleasure was really good with ample free time in and around the site visits and meetings to relax and take it easy. We found time within the trip to play plenty of beach volley ball, to go fishing, quad biking and to relax by the pool and on the beach. The lunch and evening meals were really good, and we were hosted both at the hotel and at local restaurants.
The island of Sal, Cape Verde with it’s close proximity to Cotton Bay, the Marina and Ernie Els golf courses, I feel will be one of the most popular areas across the whole of the Cape Verde Islands.
It’s fair to say, this isn’t an investment for the faint hearted, for lots of people just to see your plot and to refer to plans and to hear everything talked about in the future tense, is too much. You really need to see the bigger picture with this one! All I can say is that it felt right to me, I am confident that Cape Verde will boom and I’m also confident that I’m investing in the right area to take advantage of this growth over the coming years.

CAPE VERDE FOOD AND DRINK
Traditionally Cape Verde cuisine is Portuguese inspired but in recent days Pizza and Pasta Bistro’s are becoming famous the world over and local dining specialities of fresh seafood including Tuna and Lobster are causing the whole restaurant culture to flourish. Wine and lager is brewed on the islands.
CAPE VERDE DIVING, SAILING AND SURFING
The Cape Verde islands lie in the Trade Winds belt, where the Atlantic washes the shoreline with nature providing the perfect conditions for sailing and surfing. National teams converge on Sal for winter wind and kite surf training to experience one of the best breaks in the world. Amazingly brilliant coloured reef fish are viewed in the crystal clear fabulously warm waters off the Cape and three wrecks rest only 10m below surface for the experience diver! Humpback Whales swim freely with calves in tow whilst dolphins and turtles are prolific on the islands. Highly unusual sea birds also make their home on Cape Verde. Yacht marinas are planned, as are championship golf courses.
